Who runs this website?
Nusantara Schooners is a content brand and concierge desk published by Juara Holding Group. Day-to-day charter operations, availability, and bookings are handled by Komodo Luxury, an award-winning charter operator founded in 2015 and based in Labuan Bajo, Flores. Komodo Luxury’s own reservations team handles bookings directly once your enquiry is passed along.
What this means in practice:
- We are a facilitator, not the vessel owner. This site does not own, crew, or captain any phinisi. Vessels featured are operated or arranged through Komodo Luxury and its vetted licensed partners.
- We are not a licensed financial, legal, or tax adviser. Any commercial, regulatory, or investment content on this site is general background, not professional advice.
- The booking contract is between you and the operator. When you confirm a charter, your contract, payment terms, cancellation policy, and liability sit with Komodo Luxury or the relevant asset owner arranged via vetted licensed partners.

- Seasonal windows are expert route guidance, not guarantees. Komodo cruises best May to September, Raja Ampat October to April, and the Banda Sea crossing is typically viable September to November. Weather, sea state, and local conditions can shift these windows without warning.
- Availability is never guaranteed until confirmed in writing by the operator. A vessel shown on this site may already be booked, in refit, or repositioned to another cruising ground on your dates.
What are the terms for enquiries and bookings?
When you send an enquiry, we pass your details to Komodo Luxury’s reservations team so they can check live availability and prepare a formal quote. Sending an enquiry does not create a booking, reserve a vessel, or oblige you to pay anything.
A charter is only confirmed when the operator issues a written booking confirmation and you meet its payment terms. At that point:
- The charter agreement, deposit schedule, cancellation policy, insurance requirements, and onboard terms are set by the operator, not by this website.
- Itineraries may change for safety, weather, national park access, permit, or operational reasons. Captains have final authority over routing and safety decisions at sea.
- We make no guaranteed outcomes regarding wildlife sightings (including whale sharks at Cenderawasih Bay bagan platforms), visibility, weather, or specific anchorages such as Padar, Wayag, or Banda Neira.

Indonesian visitors: We aim to handle personal data consistent with the principles of Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (Undang-Undang No. 27 Tahun 2022 / UU PDP), including lawful basis for processing, purpose limitation, and your rights as a data subject to access and correct your information.
International and EU/UK visitors: For visitors covered by the GDPR, we recognise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, and objection, and we process your enquiry data on the basis of your request and our legitimate interest in responding to it. What are the limits of our liability?

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Juara Holding Group and Nusantara Schooners are not liable for losses arising from reliance on indicative pricing, seasonal guidance, or route information, or from any charter arranged through the operator. Your remedies for anything relating to a booked charter lie under your agreement with the operator.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Which law applies?
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If any part of them is found unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. We may revise this page from time to time; the version published here is the one in force.
